COVID-19 Update: How FPE Is Adapting & Operating During This Time

Never has there been a time where access to food and essential items was more important. As a supplier of food processing equipment, we recognise the important part we play during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Like many other organisations worldwide, FPE Australia and New Zealand is implementing new policies and procedures to address the active situation associated with the Coronavirus crisis. The health and safety of our employees, customers and visitors is our number one priority. Below are some measures we’re taking in response to the COVID-19 situation.

We thank all of you for your support during this time and encourage you to reach out to us if there’s anything we can assist you with.

Measures in response to the Coronavirus

We are taking steps to ensure we can maintain our operations at the highest possible level. These include:

      • We have a crisis management leadership group, which is monitoring the situation daily and steering prompt and effective responses.
      • We have activated smart working for all the supporting functions not required to be physically present in our offices.
      • We have introduced restrictions for external people coming to our premises.
      • We are actively collaborating with our suppliers to monitor their situation and ensure minimum possible impact on material delivery.
      • We are leveraging all technological tools to collaborate with our people, our customers and partners around the globe irrespective of the situation.

      Travel restrictions and updates

On a daily basis, we are reviewing local, state and federal government advice as it pertains to travel (domestic and international), which we recognise will affect our interactions with customer facilities.

Effective immediately, our employee travel policy has been temporarily amended to only permit essential business travel.

For our customers, we are asking that if you require one of our employees to travel to your location that you make a formal request in writing. Please contact your account representative for more information.

Any equipment installation or commissioning assistance is considered essential travel and we will, where possible, honour our commitments.

We also strongly recommend you consider your own critical spares stock holding at this time and place additional orders where necessary. All parts orders placed before 3pm will be despatched the same day.

      We’re here to help

This situation is unexpected, serious and needs to be managed in accordance with government indications. Nevertheless, we are working to minimise the potential impact on our customers’ businesses by taking all possible actions to deal with this evolving situation.

Our priority is first and foremost to protect the health and safety of our employees and their families, as well as those of our customers and supply partners. Rest assured that we will continue to serve you as we work remotely, where possible. This is a fluid situation and we will update and support you as best we can. If there is anything we can do to help, please don’t hesitate to call on us. Our office numbers are Australia 1800 882 549 and New Zealand 0800 100 003.

      Thank you and stay safe.
